Marking Sprays
Marking spray is needed wherever lines, dots, numbers or symbols have to be applied to a surface quickly and with good visibility: on construction sites, in surveying and civil engineering, in forestry, in warehouses and on company premises. Aerosols Germany manufactures marking paint as a special spray paint in 500 ml and 600 ml can sizes and in numerous colours, from classic white, red, blue, yellow, green and orange through pink to fluorescent colours in neon red, neon green, fluorescent yellow and fluorescent blue. The colourants used are free from lead and cadmium.
The marking paint is designed for durable, highly visible marking. It adheres to asphalt, tar, soil, concrete, grass, trees and stone, is abrasion-resistant and fades only slightly in sunlight thanks to good UV resistance. Selection guide: which marking spray for which purpose
The colour depends on the purpose of the marking and on the surface. White or yellow stands out on dark asphalt, while red, blue and fluorescent shades are easier to see on light concrete or in grass. In many companies and trades, colours also carry a specific meaning, for example to identify different types of utility lines or for felling and skidding marks in forestry. Application and notes
The surface should be free of loose dirt, dust and moisture so that the paint can adhere. Shake the can vigorously before use, then spray at an even distance. For wide lines, several thin coats work better than one thick coat. In wind and on damp ground, adhesion and coverage may be reduced. Marking sprays are not intended for road markings under road traffic law, but for auxiliary, construction and operational markings. Which surfaces does the marking paint adhere to?
The marking paint is a special spray paint designed for asphalt, tar, soil, concrete, grass, trees and stone. It adheres to rough and absorbent surfaces as well as to smooth surfaces, provided they are free of loose dirt and moisture. Adhesion may be reduced on damp or heavily soiled ground. For lasting results, we recommend a test spray on the surface in question.
How long does a marking remain visible?
The paint is designed for high abrasion resistance and good UV resistance against fading, so markings remain visible considerably longer than with simple chalk or paint markers. The actual durability depends on the surface, weather, weathering and mechanical stress. On areas with little traffic, a marking usually lasts beyond the duration of a construction project.
What is the difference between fluorescent paint and normal marking paint?
Fluorescent colours such as neon red, neon green, fluorescent yellow and fluorescent blue have a particularly strong, eye-catching shade that is quickly noticed even at dusk, in undergrowth or on uneven surfaces. They are therefore frequently used in forestry and for markings with a high signal effect. The other colours are classic spray paints with full opacity for construction, warehouses and surveying.
