The sprays are produced and filled at partner plants in Europe, quality-checked in Iserlohn and delivered from there to industrial businesses, workshops, distributors and buying groups. Application and notes
Corrosion protection is only as good as the preparation. Loose rust, scale, grease and moisture must be removed before spraying; for Rust-Stop, a metallically cleaned surface that is not necessarily rust-free is sufficient. Shake sprays with zinc or aluminium pigments particularly thoroughly before use so that the pigments are evenly distributed. Work thinly and in several coats, observe intermediate drying and refer to the label for overpaintability and drying time. Thanks to their electrical conductivity, zinc spray and zinc-alu spray are also suitable as spot-welding paint.

What is the difference between zinc spray, zinc-alu spray and zinc touch-up?
Zinc spray is the corrosion protection primer with over 92 % zinc content in the dry film for DIN-compliant touch-up of galvanised steel surfaces. Zinc-alu spray is a corrosion protection paint for initial preservation and touch-up with heat resistance up to 490 °C. Zinc touch-up is visually almost identical in colour to freshly galvanised parts and can be overpainted without primer, making it the choice for visible welded and cut areas.
Does the substrate have to be completely rust-free before rust protection?
For zinc spray, zinc-alu spray and aluminium spray, the substrate should be metallically clean, dry and free of grease. The Rust-Stop long-term primer contains a rust converter that penetrates rust and reduces further rusting; the surface therefore does not have to be completely rust-free in that case. Loose rust and scale are always removed beforehand. The information on the label and safety data sheet is authoritative.
Which underbody protection can be overpainted?
UBS grey, UBS black and stone chip protection grey are overpaintable and are suitable for areas that are subsequently painted in the vehicle colour. Wax UBS, which is wax-based, is not overpaintable; it is intended for touching up and retreating existing coatings and, thanks to its high creeping capability, seals the smallest cracks. Before building up the paint system, check compatibility with the top coat in a concealed area.
