Stone chip protection grey

The stone chip protection grey is an overpaintable underbody protection for body areas subject to heavy mechanical stress: sills, wheel arches, front aprons and lower edges. It protects the sheet metal from stone chips and spray water and can subsequently be painted in the vehicle colour.

The grey shade is chosen as a neutral base for the subsequent paint build-up and covers light and dark repair areas evenly. The application forms a protective layer that withstands impacts and abrasion, so that the top coat does not chip through to the sheet metal.

Body shops, paint shops and vehicle workshops use the 400 ml can after repairs to sills and wheel arches to restore the texture of the factory stone chip protection before the top coat is applied. 1. Remove rust, dirt, grease and old, loose coating from the area and mask off.
2. Shake the can well before use until the mixing ball can be heard moving freely.
3. Spray at an even distance, applying several coats depending on the desired texture.
4. Allow to air between coats until the surface no longer has a wet sheen.
5. Allow to dry completely before overpainting; after use, briefly spray the can upside down to clear the nozzle.
