Zinc-alu spray

The zinc-alu spray is a corrosion protection paint for initial preservation and for touching up cut edges and damaged areas on galvanised surfaces. The combination of zinc and aluminium pigments produces a light, metallic shade that matches galvanised parts.

The spray is weather-resistant and heat-resistant up to 490 °C. It adheres well to all common metals and dries quickly. Thanks to good electrical conductivity, it is also suitable as a spot-welding paint. It offers good rust protection and excellent priming properties, so it can be used both as stand-alone protection and as a primer under a top coat.

Metal construction, steel construction, galvanising plants, fence and railing construction as well as workshops reach for the zinc-alu spray when cut edges, drill holes and weld seams on galvanised parts need to be retreated quickly and durably. The 400 ml can is the common format for assembly and maintenance.

1. Remove rust, scale, zinc oxide, grease and moisture from the substrate.
2. Shake the can thoroughly so that the metal pigments are evenly distributed.
3. Spray thinly at an even distance, avoiding runs by applying several thin coats.
4. After a short airing time, apply a second coat if required.
5. Allow to dry completely before stress or top coating; after use, briefly spray the can upside down to clear the nozzle.
