Zinc spray

The zinc spray from Aerosols Germany is a corrosion protection primer for all common metal parts with over 92 % zinc content in the dry film. It is suitable for DIN-compliant touch-up of galvanised steel surfaces and was tested to DIN 53167 in the salt spray test after 1000 hours and to DIN 53152 in the cross-cut test with GT 0-1.

The spray is fast-drying and adheres well. Thanks to good electrical conductivity, it is also suitable as a spot-welding paint, so primed parts can subsequently be spot-welded. The high zinc content provides the cathodic protection that distinguishes a zinc primer from a simple paint coating.

Steel construction, metal construction, galvanising plants, vehicle and trailer construction as well as industrial maintenance use the zinc spray for weld seams, drill holes, cut edges and damaged zinc layers. 1. Remove rust, scale, zinc oxide, grease and moisture from the substrate.
2. Shake the can thoroughly so that the zinc pigment is evenly distributed.
3. Spray thinly at an even distance, avoiding runs by applying several thin coats.
4. After a short airing time, apply further thin coats.
5. Allow to dry completely before stress, spot welding or top coating; after use, spray the can briefly to clear the nozzle.
