Zinc touch-up

The zinc touch-up is a spray for touching up welded and cut areas on galvanised surfaces. It is almost identical in colour to freshly galvanised parts and is therefore the choice when the repair area should not be visually noticeable, for example on fences, railings, facade substructures or ventilation ducts.

The spray is fast-drying and adheres well to all common metals. It can be overpainted without an adhesion primer or primer if a coloured top coat is desired later. The good opacity makes the zinc touch-up economical in use, so one can is sufficient for many cut edges and spot welds.

Metal construction, steel construction, galvanising plants, installation companies and building services use the 400 ml can directly on site and in the workshop to restore the corrosion protection of the galvanising after sawing, drilling or welding. For higher zinc content and DIN-compliant touch-up, the zinc spray is also available.

1. Remove scale, welding residues, grease and moisture from the welded and cut area.
2. Shake the can thoroughly before use until the mixing ball can be heard moving freely.
3. Spray thinly at an even distance, avoiding runs by applying several thin coats.
4. Apply a second thin coat after a short airing time if required.
5. Allow to dry completely before stress or overpainting; after use, briefly spray the can upside down to clear the nozzle.
