Description

The PTFE Spray is a dry lubricant based on polytetrafluoroethylene. After the carrier has evaporated, a dry, slippery film remains that reduces friction on guides, rails, drawers, hinges and plastic parts. PTFE is known as a solid lubricant for its low friction and does not need an oil or grease film to work.

As a lubricant spray without a sticky residue, the PTFE Spray is suitable wherever dust, swarf or textile fibres would quickly contaminate an oily film: in woodworking, on packaging and textile machines, on sliding doors and rollers, and on plastic-to-plastic pairings that cannot tolerate oil. The film is inconspicuous and leaves no stains on adjacent surfaces.

The product is aimed at maintenance, joineries, the packaging and textile industries, building services and the technical trade. For lubrication points with high loads and high temperatures, the Graphite Spray is recommended as an alternative.

Properties

  • Dry lubricant based on PTFE
  • Dry sliding film without oily residue
  • Binds no dust, swarf or fibres
  • For guides, rails, hinges and plastic parts
  • Leaves no stains on adjacent surfaces

Application

  1. Clean and dry the sliding surface, remove old oil and grease residues.
  2. Shake the can vigorously so that the PTFE is evenly distributed.
  3. Spray a thin, even coat onto the guide, rail or sliding surface.
  4. Allow the carrier to evaporate completely until a dry film has formed.
  5. Move the component several times so that the film spreads.
