Contact Cleaner

The Contact Cleaner cleans contacts and plug connections in automotive electrics and in electronic components. Concentrated ingredients ensure a good cleaning effect: contaminants such as oil and grease residues are dissolved and rinsed off, so that the metal contact surfaces are exposed again.

In use, the contact cleaner reduces the voltage drop caused by dirty contacts and reduces the build-up of new dirt. The ingredients used are compatible with common plastics, which is important for plastic connector housings, relay sockets and circuit board holders. After cleaning, the connection can be treated with the Contact Spray to displace moisture and prevent oxidation. This keeps the contact resistance permanently low.

The Contact Cleaner is aimed at car and commercial vehicle workshops, electrical installation, maintenance of control systems and switch cabinets, electronics service and the electrical and automotive parts trade, also under their own brand.

1. Disconnect the system or vehicle from the power supply and separate the plug connection.
2. Shake the can and spray the cleaner specifically onto the contacts and plug surfaces.
3. Rinse off the dissolved dirt or remove it with a lint-free cloth.
4. Allow the solvent to evaporate completely, then reconnect the connection.
5. If required, treat with Contact Spray afterwards and check the function.
