Description
The Freezer Spray is a technical cooling spray for test and inspection purposes. It reaches temperatures down to -45 °C and cools individual components, solder joints or assemblies in a targeted manner without affecting the surroundings. In the electronics workshop, it is used to locate faults in electrical systems: temperature-dependent intermittent faults can be narrowed down and reproduced by spot cooling.
In addition, the freezer spray shrinks metal parts, which is important for assembly work, for example when fitting bushes, pins or bearings with an interference fit. In the automotive sector, it helps with cold-start simulations to test sensors, valves and control units under cold conditions. The spray tube allows the cold jet to be confined to small areas.
The product is aimed at electronics service, maintenance, car workshops, test facilities, assembly companies and the technical trade. As a tool for diagnosis and assembly, the freezer spray belongs alongside contact spray and contact cleaner in every electronics kit.
Properties
- Technical cooling spray for test and inspection purposes
- Reaches temperatures down to -45 °C
- Locates faults in electrical systems
- Shrinks metal parts for assembly work
- Helps with cold-start simulations in the automotive sector
Application
- Make the component to be tested or the assembly part accessible and disconnect the system from the power supply if required.
- Hold the can upright and point the spray tube at the target spot.
- Apply short bursts until the desired cooling is achieved.
- Observe the behaviour of the component or fit the shrunk part promptly.
- Do not spray onto the skin and avoid contact with cold parts.
