Contact Spray

The Contact Spray serves to improve contact performance in automotive electrics and in electronic components. It dissolves resinous deposits on contacts, switches and plug connections and displaces moisture that leads to failures and malfunctions. The remaining film prevents leakage currents and oxidation.

In use, the contact spray reduces voltage losses caused by poor contacts and eliminates excessive contact resistance caused by dirt. Typical applications are connectors in the engine compartment, switches and relays, lighting connections, trailer sockets, terminal strips in switch cabinets and plug contacts on control systems. After cleaning with the Contact Cleaner, the contact spray restores the electrical function and maintains it.

The product is aimed at car and commercial vehicle workshops, electrical installation, maintenance, electronics service and specialist dealers. For users who prefer a product with CO₂ as propellant, the Contact Spray CO₂ is available.

1. Disconnect the system or vehicle from the power supply and separate the plug connection.
2. Shake the can and spray the contact spray specifically onto the contacts and plug surfaces.
3. Allow it to act briefly so that resinous deposits are dissolved and moisture is displaced.
4. Allow the excess to evaporate and reconnect the connection.
5. Check the function and repeat the procedure on further contacts if required.
