Engine protection paint

Engine protection paint is a special paint for engines and engine bays. It is sprayed onto cleaned engine components, refreshes faded or weathered surfaces and lays a protective layer over metal, plastic and rubber parts in the engine bay. Paints of this kind are used to give engines a well-kept, uniform appearance after cleaning or repair.

In use, the paint layer protects the components against moisture, corrosion and dirt and makes later cleaning easier, because dirt adheres less to the smooth surface. Engine protection paint is applied thinly and evenly. Belts, pulleys, friction surfaces, contacts and sensors must be carefully masked before application.

1. Thoroughly clean and degrease the engine bay and allow to dry; mask belts, contacts and sensors.
2. Shake the can vigorously.
3. Spray the paint thinly and evenly onto the components.
4. Allow to flash off between coats.
5. Let it dry through completely before starting the engine.
