Exhaust paint black

Exhaust paint black is a matt black stoving paint for components that get hot in operation. It is temperature-resistant up to 600 °C and was developed for exhaust systems and stove pipes, where a conventional paint would quickly fail. The paint dries quickly and adheres well to metal and to many other materials.

In use, the exhaust paint gives an evenly matt, black surface that restores a well-kept appearance to the component. The stoving paint reaches its final hardness when the painted part is heated up for the first time. The product is not suitable for manifolds or other components that get hotter than 600 °C.

Typical users are vehicle workshops, motorcycle businesses, stove builders and maintenance staff who want to visually refurbish exhaust systems, flue pipes or brackets and at the same time protect them against the weather. 1. Thoroughly remove rust, soot, oil and grease from the substrate and allow to dry.
2. Shake the can vigorously before use.
3. Apply evenly in several thin coats and avoid runs.
4. Allow to flash off between coats and then let the paint dry through completely.
5. Then heat the component up slowly so that the stoving paint cures.
