Insulating varnish clear

Insulating varnish clear is a transparent electronics insulating varnish. It lays an insulating protective layer over printed circuit boards, windings and terminal areas while leaving markings, test points, component identifiers and conductor tracks visible. This is an advantage wherever assemblies later need to be tested, documented, re-measured or repaired.

As a clear varnish, it forms an even film after drying that shields the surface against moisture, dust and dirt. It is applied in thin coats so that the varnish also reaches between closely spaced components. Plug contacts, switches, potentiometers and areas that must remain conductive are carefully masked beforehand.

Electronics manufacturers, repair businesses, motor rewinders and maintenance staff use the clear insulating varnish for re-insulation, protection after soldering work and sealing of assemblies. As a complement to the coloured versions, it is also available for own brands.

The clear insulating varnish is sprayed over the assembly as a thin protective layer after soldering or a repair.

1. Disconnect the assembly from the power supply, clean off dust and flux residues and allow to dry.
2. Mask contacts, connectors and switches.
3. Shake the can and spray the varnish on in thin, even coats.
4. Allow to flash off between coats.
5. Let it dry through completely before commissioning.
