Pipe Thread Sealant

Pipe Thread Sealant is an anaerobic adhesive for sealing metallic pipe threads and screw connections. The adhesive is applied to the external thread, fills the thread turns when screwed in and cures in the absence of air in contact with the metal. The result is a tight connection that is at the same time secured against loosening through vibration.

Compared with hemp or sealing tape, there is no wrapping and no fibre residues remain in the pipework system. The sealant also fills slightly damaged thread turns. Typical applications are screw connections on water, heating, compressed air and hydraulic lines as well as on fittings in plants. For gas installations, the applicable approvals must be observed.

Users are installation companies, maintenance, plant engineering and hydraulic services. The 50 ml bottle fits in any tool bag and is also available under your own brand on request.

1. Clean and degrease the thread, completely remove old sealant residues.
2. Apply the pipe thread sealant all around the first thread turns of the external thread.
3. Screw the connection together by hand and then with a tool, aligning it as you do so.
4. Wipe off excess sealant.
5. Only pressurise the line after curing and check for leaks.
